When entering Bern the first thing you will notice is the overwhelming smell of cheese. While this might sound a bit intense, real cheese lovers will not be put off by this.
When I go to Bern I go for cheese fondue, entrecote, a bottle of red wine and garlic salad (extremely strong but extremely tasty). It is a winning combination that I stick to. And it sticks to me; I was here yesterday and 24 hours later the taste of garlic is still with me, the smell probably is too. Still it is worth it, just make sure you share (at least) the salad so that the taste of garlic is omnipresent.
If you have any space left, and I doubt that you will, you should finish it off with chocolate mousse. After that it is straight home, you will be too full, smelly, and satisfied to do anything else!
