Bubblekid is a hairdresser, a clothing store and partly used to be a bike shop, all at the same time. For me, it has been my hairdresser for a few years, and I might have bought a few pieces of clothing there as well (and a few bike parts, to be honest). The great thing about the place is the overall vibe. It’s a mix of Dutch and international people, with great hospitality and they’re always in for a laugh.
When you’re getting your hair cut, there are no mirrors. Scary the first time, but really nice after a while: whatever hairdresser you are at, you’re probably as ugly as can be when seated in a chair (no offense), due to the hard lights and your wet hair. At Bubblekid, there’s just one big table, where everybody is being cut, chats and has drinks (go on Thursday nights). And of course, in the end you can see the result (and ask for adaptations if you don’t like the outcome). Make sure you and your hair are on point.
The store downstairs tends to change every now and then. At this very moment it’s occupied by Thrift Shop, where both upcoming brands as well as people’s home-collections are sold.
