I have two piercings. One in my ear (forward helix) and one in my nose (septum). When I got my nose pierced, I decided to go to Dare 2 Wear, a small piercing shop in the center of Amsterdam. I walked in pretty nervous, because I knew in a couple moments someone would stick a needle through my nose. But being there, my nervousness went away pretty quickly. The lady who pierced me was really friendly and made me feel completely at home. Also the atmosphere inside the shop is very cozy and beautiful. There’s a lot of nicely-decorated cabinets, good lighting and art, which makes it a lot more cozy than some of the clinical-looking piercing shops around the city.
Also the aftercare of the shop is really good. After a while I went back because I had put a different piercing in my nose which had irritated it. And although it was my own fault it got irritated, they were super friendly and helped me with changing the piercing to the original one again for free. If I’d ever get another piercing again, I’d definitely go to Dare 2 Wear again. They care a lot about their customers and take time for you, which in my opinion is one of the most important things when getting something pierced.
They also do body modifications. I don’t have any experience with that, but with the way they pierce, I imagine them doing a very good job at that as well!
