Duende – Real Spanish tapas

I love tapas. The fact that you share a couple of small dishes with your table companions makes an evening out so much more fun. I feel as though tapas bring people much closer together than just a normal dish at a restaurant.

Duende is one of my all-time favourites in Amsterdam. There are a LOT of tapas bars in Amsterdam, but in my opinion, Duende is the best of the best. Of course their food is delicious, but next to that, the whole atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel as though you were in Spain. That is mostly because the staff is mainly Spanish (I think, because they all speak Spanish).

I’d like to share a couple of my favourite dishes at Duende with you, but honestly I couldn’t think of one thing that I like most. I could tell you all about the amazing tortilla, but then again I love the garlic shrimps, blue cheese chicory and “almejas” as well… anything at Duende tastes amazing!

Oh and if you’re not into tapas (what???) you can also take flamenco classes at Duende!
