During the day this spot is hidden behind all the people and market stalls of the Albert Cuyp market. In the evening, when they break down the market, this street might not seem that inviting but the summer rolls at Pho 91 are reason enough to ignore the loud guys in their carts breaking down the stalls and racing around with deconstructed market stalls.
Pho 91 is a tiny Vietnamese eatery and is specialized in healthy fresh Vietnamese food, spring rolls, summer rolls, soups and salads. Being on the market, the food cannot be fresher. My favorites are the summer rolls: a taste explosion with prawns, pork, noodles, salad, herbs and of course the absolutely essential hoisin peanut sauce. I could eat these all day.
The place is small and very popular, usually there are people waiting to be seated. So it is not the place to be if you want to wine and dine for hours. But for a quick bite before going somewhere else it is the perfect spot!
