If you don’t know it, you would never guess that the small house on the corner of the Nassaukade is actually a teeny-tiny Thai restaurant. Every day from 16:00, you can pick up the most delicious Thai meals. Pick up, because the place is too small to place tables inside. In summer though, there are a couple of tables outside. The owner, originally from Thailand, happily has a chat with you while you’re waiting for your meal to finish.
I love to hear about the different dishes in his home country, which shows his love for Thailand and its food. Inside the tiny restaurant, there’s a unique atmosphere. The bright light, funky accessories and of course the smell of amazing food makes you forget for a moment you’re actually in a country with about 185 days of rain per year. It’s also possible to order food from Pie-Nong Thai, but honestly, it’s so much more fun to actually go there and see for yourself the smallest Thai restaurant in Amsterdam.
