Near “Het Eilandje” life is changing, this used to be a forgotten neighborhood, but recently activity is increasing. Business – Leisure – Living – Culture, all these aspects live peacefully next to each other. Centre piece is the MAS, Museum aan de Stroom (Riverside Museum). Planning was scheduled to be finished in 2010, but it was completed in May 2011, typical Belgian planning style! This is a centre for art and expositions, … Check them out on the website. Also the surroundings of the MAS are very nice to walk around in, with a lot of bars and restaurants. Just looking at this strange but impressive building and it’s reflection is worthwhile. I can’t wait to go there! Guess I’ll have to come to Antwerp soon!
Amazing picture! A fun fact also is you can go all the way to the rooftop (for free!) and enjoy the view until midnight!
I love the changing atmosphere in this area!
