Galaxy bar – American Bar

Galaxy is a big secret in the center of Athens. Lots of people confuse it with a bar on the roof of a famous hotel with the same name.

My Galaxy bar is small, wooden, with a long long bar and a retro wallpaper hidden behind old advertisements.

If there is an ideal song for that place for sure this would be “show me the way to the next whiskey bar”. The owner is such a gentle man. He serves you olives, cheese and bread while you are drinking your porto wine.

Every time I visit this place I feel like I am inside a “time machine” back to 70s in a village in North America. Although it is located really centrally it is a bit difficult to find. Just walk down Stadiou street. And opposite “Kolokotroni’s statue” there is a hall. Just go inside and you will find it on your right hand.
