Greece is for designers. But also “Greece is for lovers”. If you do not know this team, it is about time to discover their design.
While wandering at the area of Plaka ask for “Hellenic Art & Design” place. Located at Agias Aikaterinis square you can find really inspired things to buy for yourself or friends. Crazy, colorful, modern!
This place is a showroom and also a store that sells things all made exclusively by Greek designers. Paintings. notebooks, cups for cafe and lots of colourful stuff are hidden there.
The girls that work at Hellenic Art & Design are really helpful, happy and patient. If you feel fed up with buying touristic ouzo glasses for presents it is about time to discover something else.
Every time I visit this place I feel like I am at a playground! You wanna join?

Since you mention “Greece is for lovers”, I’d add that visiting their shop (close to the Acropolis museum) is an experience on its own. Granted, their creations are not modestly priced, but they’re an artistic and semiotic delight to behold!
