You might be wondering why I even bother to write about IKEA. It’s a multinational company and all stores are identical in every single city. However, we all have a hate to love relationship with IKEA and most houses are equipped with a Lack side table. Let alone our occasional indulgent to the controversial Swedish meatballs with lingonberry jam or the vegetable medallions.
Bad habits die hard and even harder when you combine all this with one of the greatest and most unexpected views of the Acropolis. The IKEA of Kifissos is worth a visit for this reason. The rest is the same as any other IKEA but the cafe area provides a really unique scenery. Whenever I visit this IKEA, I try to keep a slot during the sunset hour to sit at the cafe and enjoy the glorious colors of the sky, the landmark of my city and an ok coffee with a chocolate cake!
If you find yourself around Gazi area it’s easy to get there with 21 trolley and B18 bus. Caution! Do not try this during the weekend or other busy days of the year. It’s just a nightmare. On the other hand on normal weekdays it is a peaceful, quiet environment.
