Do you want to get something to eat, sitting inside, next to a real olive tree? Masina is the place for you! Named after an old kind of kitchen, that operated with wood, Masina is what you would call a gourmet souvlaki joint!
They offer all the souvlaki choices, really clean and healthy, paying attention to the smallest detail, from the canned goods that decorate the walls, to the crystal clear kitchen and grills behind the counter! I usually get my food as take-out, but there were a couple of times when I sat down to have my dinner there. The kindness of the staff is worth mentioning as they were helpful with all our requests. Apart from the tasty food, another strong point of Masina is the traditional sweets that they offer, in cooperation with a pastry shop! The prices are not the cheapest ones you will get, but still they are decent enough!
To get there, you may want to take a bus, or a taxi, as this place is not located near any metro station. It would be ideal if you are staying in the wider area and you can walk there! It’s also near Barbadimos Kebab! Also, some 30-40 meters away, recently a really nice place for souvlakia opened, making this a small “piazza” for souvlaki lovers!
If you visit in August, keep in mind that from roughly the 15th-21st, many shops/stores in Greece are closed.
