Mpriki is one of the oldest Athenian bars, the ones that have been visited by at least 2-3 generations of Athenians. Most of us have been through the “Mpriki period”, a period where we visit it quite often. I have returned to Mpriki lately as a safe choice for a drink close to my house.

Located in the beautiful Mavili Square, famous for its Canteen that has fed thousands of drunk party goers throughout the years, Mpriki is an all time classic. Mpriki is a small place – hence its name – decorated with wood and velvet and it has a typical wooden bar. Crowded almost every night, with people going for after work drinks or late night cocktails.

With clean drinks, nice cocktails and great music ranging from funk and soul, to indie and electro, Mpriki is one of my favorite bars to go for a relaxed drink with friends on a weekday or a party night on weekends!
