About me
I was born and raised in Paleo Faliro, one of the southern suburbs of Athens, but as a result to the instability of “youth years” due to studying and working developments, I have had to change at least five or six different locations of residence, all within Athens itself.
Currently and for the past 3 years, I have settled in the north, work as a flight attendant and try to enjoy the Athenian life as if I were a tourist, but with the awareness of a local ![]()
About me
Though born in Piraeus, the part of Athens urban area that hosts the largest port of the country, I had to move to the countryside when I was only five. A small agricultural village called “Kryekouki” is where I grew up until I turned 18, contemplating the big city life I’d lead when I were to return to what I dreamt of as our “little big apple”!
Yet, I also had to toil to make ends meet, thus investing two thirds of my time in work, my Public Relations studies and the favourite sport of at least all Southern Europeans; football.
The other third was therefore devoted to entertainment and this is what we aim to share with you: How to enjoy Athens at its best, even by turning the tables on what foreigners think about “late and loud” Greek entertainment.
Why Athens?
Because…
- You can still find secluded, unspoiled beaches right next-door to the chaos
- The weather doesn’t prevent you from doing anything, even during the coldest & snowiest days of winter
- Regardless of what they say about the € effect on the market, prices are indeed affordable; if you know where to go
- It is the only European capital where the anarchist and disordered architecture of the modern era doesn’t prevail over the beauty of the historical and classical marvels that are in abundance. The past blends harmoniously with the contemporary.
- The city promotes it’s very OWN living history; borrowed by no one!
