“Theio Tragi” got its name from a book that Giannis Skarimpas wrote. Still I have not found the connection between this restaurant and the book but this is not what matters!
The only thing that matters is that “Theio Tragi” is one of those places that you want to return to again and again as its food is really good and you can enjoy it in an urban atmosphere. Pictures from avant garde concerts line its walls and wooden big tables are the main decoration. And the tunes you can listen while you are eating are chosen one by one. The day we went Nick Cave and Jesus and Mary Chain were singing for us.
About its food, it is mostly traditional food cooked in a modern way. But of course not only traditional plates – I loved the salmon and the colourful salads.
The neighborhood Ano Petralona where Theio Tragi is located is definitely worth a visit. Walk around the neighborhood where a few of the best restaurants of the city are located!
