There are not that many movie theaters in Barcelona which play movies in English (or rather, their original language). The most recent opening has been the Balmes Multicine, which, with 12 huge screens, is also now one of the city’s newest and biggest.
I’m probably not the only person going to the movies less frequently these days, after all, with most movies one click away, why pay and leave the house when you can watch them comfortably from your own living room? Well there still are (thankfully for the movie and movie theater industry) some powerful reasons: 3D movies, those with special effects, those with beautiful photography… just to name a few. If I’m going to go to the movies I might as well go to one with big, new, comfortable seats and one with tilted screening rooms, which guarantees great viewing even if I’m unlucky enough to have a tall or poofy-haired viewer right in front of me :).
Balmes Multicines has all of this.
Little tip: weekend tickets are usually € 9, but on Wednesdays they go down to € 6.80 and during the week € 8.
