This is one of those favorite but hard-to-explain-why spots. To start off, this bar has been open for more than 50 years. It is, and always has been, a full-on neighborhood bar frequented by locals of all ages, from teenagers to grandparents. They also do everything here, from breakfasts to lunches, dinners and night time drinks. Everything they do is done good, with love and care, and by the hands of the same people year after year.
If I had to explain why I always come back to this place it probably has something to do with their spicy patatas bravas (many say they are some of the city’s best, only comparable to the one’s at Bar Tomas), their terrace seating (always so appetizing in a city with Barcelona’s weather) and their generous hand when filling gin tonics up with alcohol.
Just as you would expect in a friendly neighborhood bar!
