Ok, ok… I’m not really proud of this one, but I have to be honest, it’s a spot where I do go. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s cheap or because it’s close by. Maybe my excuse can be that I only go there when I am hung over. But well, sometimes you can find me here.
Dao Kaitensuhi is a conveyor belt buffet. So you sit down and load your table full of little plates. Most of the dishes are Chinese, but they also make sushi and sometimes you even see patatas bravas and fried calamaris coming through. To make it complete there are even desserts going around. The quality of the food is definitely not the best, but you have a large variety of dishes to choose from and it also is kind of fun.
Some advice to get the best out of it: First of all never go there if the place is empty. You don’t want to take a bite of a cold teriyaki chicken, which has already made more rounds on the belt than it should have… Have a seat at a table with your face to the kitchen. That way you see which new plates are put on the belt and you can be sure you get the fresh food. Don’t start loading your table the moment you sit down. Start slowly so you’re not full within 5 minutes – you might miss all the nicer, warmer and better dishes that are still to come!
