This is one of the places which I have recently discovered and which has quickly become one of my favorites. The first time I came here was with a friend who had just returned to Barcelona from having lived in France. She lives nearby and told me this was her favorite French hangout spot in the city. I of course had to try it right away!
I quickly understood why she loves it. It’s very cozy and welcoming, with tables, chairs and sofas all mismatched, resembling someone’s eclectic (French) living room. The waiters (also French) are young and friendly. Most inviting. And then comes the food. Everything is sourced from France: the cheeses, the foie they serve with salad, and the wines which starting at € 1.80 the glass are not only good but also very well priced.
To top it all off it’s located in a beautiful corner building facing the Plaza de Sant Pere, a hidden gem in the Born district. Visit En Aparté as a wine bar, a romantic dinner restaurant or for a French food fix during lunchtime and I’m pretty sure you will come out très happy!
