It’s amazing how sometimes the best places are hidden right under your nose. In my first year in this city, I must have walked past this place a hundred times, as it was on my main route into the centre. I always pondered about it; I remember the general design and lovely wood panel décor grabbing my attention. I have no clue why I didn’t go in for months. I’m just really glad I finally did one day, the results were fantastic.
Over the last few years LaVietnamita has really extended their menu here, now offering a wide variety of dishes, tapas à la Vietnam, and quite interesting drinks to boot. It’s a great place for experimentation, standing out with some unique dishes and flavours.
I think I’d feel guilty for going there and ‘eating out’ so frequently instead of cooking at home myself, if it weren’t for how healthy it is – you can really really taste it. It’s also worth noting that ordering to take away is cheaper… but the inside is so cool that it’s a difficult call!
