Polaroid has got love for you if you were born in the ’80s, or in fact, any time before that but you happened to like the decade a lot. I don’t fit into either of these categories, but I still got love for Polaroid.
As the original timeframe of the name suggests, Polaroid is a plethora of retro things, with Polaroid photos on the wall, old films playing on screen, retro movie posters, cassettes, early video game and cartoon references, the lot. It also has a bucket of five beers for € 10, add some free popcorn to that and you’ve got a winning combination.
Nostalgia is the theme here, and I think it works quite well. If anything, it’s just fun, and something different to make it stand out from the rest. The other really nice touch here is the free entry film screenings – documentaries on Tuesdays and retro classics on Sundays (each month having a different theme). There’s also a nice nibbly offer of a hot dog or guacamole nachos, popcorn and a drink for € 5.
So, if you’re looking to step back in time, try Polaroid for a night of reminiscing, accompanied by some ridiculous nostalgic film and popcorn!
