This is one of those places where, instead of feeling bad after a table full of fat tapas, you feel extremely satisfied. Not only because the food is too good to be true, it’s even healthy. Rebelot is connected to the Slow food movement, which means that almost all their products are organic and bought directly from the farmers, fishermen etc. And what I really like is that they even have their own land outside the city where they cultivate vegetables and fruits for use in the restaurant.
They have a menu with their classics like octopus with hummus and chorizo, and different kind of salads and burgers. But because they work a lot with seasonal products they always have specials of the day, besides the regular menu. In summer they had a tomato salad with all kinds of different tomatoes from their own land. I had never tried such tasty tomatoes before in my life.
The interior is a nice mix of of different chairs, tables and lamps. So are the people who work there.
Besides the food they also make cool cocktails. Like the food menu they have classics and house specials.
Apart from going there for lunch or dinner, it’s a great spot to have some drinks to get ready for a night out. Or just stay and discover all the innovative cocktails they make.
