Belgrade Zoo – Many species, one place

A true oasis in the city center. The Zoo has been part of the Kalemegdan fortress since 1936. It has over 250 different kinds of animals. I love the animal world and nature so this is the perfect spot to enjoy it and it’s definitely worth the money.

There are animals that are not in a cage so they can wander around freely which is pretty cool if you ask me. All the wildlife I don’t get to see every day is right there. Lions, seals, crocodiles, elephants, snakes, scavengers, peacocks and many other species that you wouldn’t expect to see in the middle of the city, it’s just amazing. There is more than enough space to sit down and enjoy the sounds and smells of wildlife around you, which is exactly why I love to come here. They also have a bar, popcorn and ice cream stands for refreshment.

This oasis is open all year long so there are no excuses not to visit it at some point in time. You will really miss out if you decide to skip on this.
