While most events in KC Grad occur late at night, the place itself opens much earlier than that, and the small shop at the very entrance around 17:00. So, if you’d like to buy a unique gift for someone or a memory for yourself, visit around that time or a bit earlier: have a drink, do some shopping and wait out for a gig. It is called Gradstor (written in Cyrillic) which, actually, is a multiple wordplay: word Dragstor signifies a shop open 24/7, and Gradstor is Serbian-English mix which would mean something like CityStore (grad=city).
Linguistic maze aside, the place really does offer quite a range of things of all sorts: jewelry, clothes, accessories, mugs, bags, lamps, and so on, made by young artists and sold at very affordable prices. Some of them bear a subtly printed Belgrade symbol or an inscription but are, unlike typical ones, always designed in a way which doesn’t scream “souvenir!” Though they really are exactly that; and very nice ones too!
