Hajd Park – A tiny neighborhood forest

I’m not sure the Serbian Hajd Park (Hyde Park) is as nice as the one in London. But, it’s a place in my neighborhood where I sure feel nice, and it’s just what I need after a long day of work.

Hajd Park is quite near the Museum of Yugoslav History. After I visited the museum for the first time, I took a long walk through the park, and I loved it. It’s not too decorated and fancy, but it has the “vibe” of a forest more than a city park. Still, it has a great outdoor gym, running trails, and there are even a kindergarten and a playground for kids.

I generally like parks like this, and I am happy this one is so close to my home. I also love Banjička šuma and Košutnjak (check out my articles), but it takes me a while to get there. I can go to Hajd park on foot any time to take photos, read a book, or just hang out and relax. And maybe someday I’ll even force myself to go there for jogging. 🙂
