Jazz Bašta (Jazz Garden) belongs to one of the places I discovered relatively late. Still, it grew on me instantly. When I entered their open area space, I felt like I was entering a photo from a magazine.
The first thing I noticed was the decoration of the place, which I find as charming as it gets. It’s shabby chic at first, and I think it’s very well thought through. The place isn’t too easy to find, but on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays you can let your ears guide you. There are live gigs these days, and the music is, as you can guess, mainly jazz.
Other than music, Jazz Bašta also offers food and drinks. The prices are a bit high for Belgrade standards, so it’s something to keep in mind. Still, the atmosphere and the music are fantastic. And the waiters will gladly have a friendly chat with you when the place isn’t too crowded.
