There is a lot of talk about kafanas in Serbia, and especially when we try to explain them to foreigners. And lately they’ve become even more popular among people visiting Serbia.
Which of course got us to the point where we call almost anything a ‘kafana’, even those places which are far from it. So on that note, I would like to present you Kafana ‘Sloga’. A kafana to eat and talk. In the middle of the day. Located in lower Dorcol, but not so far away from the city center.
When you get over the fact that they probably have not changed (or moved to be more precise) their furniture, or rugs in the last 20 years, you get to order. And I usually have veal soup and bread. It’s very cheap and tasty. If you feel hungry but not really, soup is a great choice.
The atmosphere is specific. A bit stale sometimes, but I enjoy it. And you might as well.
