Petlja Bar – Rockin’ in the neighborhood

I think you’re lucky if there’s a local bar very close to your home, where you can have a casual drink on workdays or even go out on a Saturday night. Petlja Bar is this place for me (so I guess I am lucky).

It takes me three minutes to get to Petlja on foot. But wherever you are staying, you can get there by public transport – the place is right under the Mostar Loop, where numerous buses and trams stop. After all, Mostar Loop is so complicated that you might need a drink before you start looking for a way out. 🙂

Petlja is more of a nightclub, so keep in mind that you can’t have a morning coffee there. What they do have though is all kinds of beers, wines and spirits. And sodas, if you really insist on having something non-alcoholic.

On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, there are live gigs of blues, rock, funk and pop bands, as well as comedy nights. But even when there’s no live performance, you can always drop by for a beer with friends and a game of darts or pool.
