Re:Art – Porcelain done with hands and soul

Tiny Zetska ranks as one of my favorite streets in the city. I guess this is mostly due to its narrowness and old buildings which all remind me of Belgrade of olden days that has now all but disappeared. In the middle of such a lane stands a business that seems to have been invented just for this place. Large windows with white wooden frames and a matching door invite you to step inside and inspect what they make here: fine hand made porcelain tableware.

Re:Art is both a shop and a studio, a place where you can admire, buy or watch cups, plates and bowls created – it’s all done here, from bags filled with clay to small kilns in the back. Once done, the porcelain pieces find their place on the immaculately arranged tables and shelves. The whole place is the embodiment of ideals which we find in their ceramics: simple, with subtle colors and minimal decoration, all in a subtle balance between perfection of circles and a feel that it has all been made by a single pair of hands.

Whenever Re:Art is open you will find here Bojana, the owner and author of all these beauties, or her husband Rade, both the friendliest people who will gladly tell you all about their work. In case you’re in for a unique experience, you can book a three-hour workshop whose product- as soon as it’s dried and fired – will be sent to your home address.
