Tašmajdan – A park for everyone

The name of the park is Tašmajdan or Taš for short (it’s made out of two Turkish words taŠ-stone and meyden-square). This is one of many green places in the city center I appreciate very much. It’s way more than just a green environment. The park was renovated a year or two ago and one of the new features is a musical fountain which I really like. The water and lights are synchronized with music so you can enjoy a little show. Besides a dancing fountain, there is a running track, big playgrounds for children, lots of chessboards, a nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the park, a solar tree where you can charge you phone and so on…

This is a great place to chill out, workout, take your kids to play around or take your dog for a walk. If your work requires only a laptop and an Internet connection this is a perfect office with the sun shining upon you. Through the whole park you can connect to free Wi-Fi. There is a beautiful Orthodox St. Mark’s Church on one end of the park that you should definitely pay a visit to.
