The female population might get offended or angry and I can understand that, but… This is a place for men. It’s a place where we come to talk, gossip (yes men gossip too), bond or spend some quality time with a friend, brother or father just like in the old days.
The Barbers is just that, a throwback to how it used to be. Old barber chairs, good music, a glass of Jack Daniels or some other strong drink and endless conversations. I come here once a month with my friend to take care of my hipster beard but most of all to catch up and relax for a bit. There is no rule when it comes to how many people are waiting in line, it might be 2 or it might be 15 people. They don’t have reservations, as they say “Sit down, relax, talk to people, have a drink and wait for your turn”. That is why I make sure I have a free day to do this :D.
What you are paying here for is an experience. It also helps that the service is par excellence. The barbers themselves are entertaining, witty but most importantly precise and have a steady hand. I could take care of my beard at home (not as precisely) but this is more of pleasure. Just like girls go to get their nails and hair done, well this is the same thing just for men.
