The 8mm bar is, despite being located directly on hip and trendy Schönhauser Allee in gentrifying Prenzlauer Berg, raunchy enough for my taste. It’s American-owned and has a fair share of tourists. But also touring bands like The Strokes and Interpol, playing nearby White Trash or other places, have been known to crash here.
It’s dark and dirty and there’s not much of an interior except for a few sofas and barstools, but a Beck’s beer sets you back a mere € 2.50 and a shot of whisky is the same price. It’s a smoker’s bar and they play alternative and rock. My kind of place.
Achtung: there may be a one Euro cover charge on the weekends.
