About me
Born and bred in London, I would describe myself as a bit of an urban nomad, having lived in the States, London, Vienna, Amsterdam and now Berlin. I Studied Fine Arts at Goldsmiths college in London, only to realise half way through my degree that I wasn’t particularly talented.

After finally graduating with a degree in Cultural Studies and Modern Philosophy in 2002, followed by stints of coasting around, singing in various bands working as an area manager for luxury lingerie brand, chance brought me to Berlin!

Writing and music have always been my first passions, and a selection of my short stories have recently been featured in a collection of erotic vignettes titled ‘Agent Provocateur – Soixante Neuf’ by Pavilion publishing (2009). Additionally I am regular contributor and Berlin correspondent for various culture and fashion websites.

Why Berlin?
My relationship with Berlin has always been linked to music and fashion. I loved reading about the Iggy Pop, Lou Reed and Marlene Dietrich and their relationship with the city. Through sheer luck I was transferred to Berlin from London for work for 3 months.

I fell in love with the Berlin, had a proverbial shotgun wedding and 3 years on I am still here. I adore the Do It Yourself attitude that permeates throughout the city, in the context of Germany it’s a bit of an Enfant Terrible dancing to its own tune with a bit of punk rock attitude to boot.

Berlin is constantly in a state of flux and evolution which is palpable. Berlin is dirty and chaotic with multiple identities, just like myself.
