It is funny how you discover places sometimes. Take this coffee place P103: I often travel down the busy Potsdamer street where it is located, be it to go towards Schöneberg or to come back to the North of Berlin. Eventually I would cross that street at the U-Bahn station Kurfüstenstrasse, but almost never to stop or even look around while I’m cycling. The bike path is relatively narrow and you have to look where you are going to avoid collisions.
So I was surprised when Yamina – a friend from Brussels visiting Berlin – proposed to meet at a coffee place in that same street where I was sure nothing interesting existed. I could not be more wrong. The P103 space is separated from the street only by a bay window, despite seeing everything from outside it is once you’re inside that you’ll realise how different and comfy it is. Ideally located in a Berlin art gallery area, it’s also a gallery where artists exposed on the walls are regularly changed. It’s a very good spot to rest between exhibitions, to talk about the next park to visit or simply to meet your friends.
