Chocolate, Ice cream, cakes and coffee – in this cafe you are spoilt for choice!
In a small oriel of a grand building which is situated near Savignyplatz, people with a passion for sweets will feel at home. In summer you can sit outside and watch the passers-by while enjoying your ice cream, in winter the small cozy interior invites you to a hot chocolate. In the tubular room you will find two big vitrines for ice cream and cakes in the front and comfortable armchairs in the back.
The ambiance is perfect for enjoying special coffee drinks like Chocolate café to the full. Also breakfast, yogurt with fruits, baguette, antipasti and wine is offered.
If you want to go there more often you should get a Bleibtreu-Karte (loyalty card) which gives you a loyalty bonus (a free coffee or ice cream) after 9 visits/stamps.

We had a bad experience here. The people serving were very off hand and rude to the two young customers in front of us, and then very exasperated when they got my order wrong. A trip to an ice-cream parlour should be a pleasant occasion – this was not. Will not be going back.

We experienced this as a tourist trap. We ordered a regular hot chocolate and we were charged for a “chocobello”, a fancier kind of hot chocolate. We explicitly choose not to order this one, because we already knew it and because we were very curious about the regular one, partly because of the enthusiast comments on this blog. All in all, this was a rather disappointing chocolate bar and definitely not the best in Berlin!
The staff was very friendly and the ice cream as well. It felt cosy and away from the ku’dam “fast and furious”! The day can start very very well by drinking a coffe/tea an eating applecake ps, thx for postin!
I’m heading off to Berlin for a few days for business. As I will be staying in this area, this spot is in my itinerary. Can’t wait!
