Rice Up – Organic Onigiri on the go

There is not much to see at the Schönleinstrasse U Bahn Station. But all the other U Bahn stations are jealous of it because it is home to the coolest and cutest little Onigiri shop in the city. Perfect for anyone passing by or jumping on the U8. Rice Up has been making our humble commuter lives easier and a lot more enjoyable with its delicious, guilt-free snacks. They’re perfect for that train-waiting hunger or to take away and save for later when the munchies attack.

Onigiri is a Japanese food made from white rice and formed into triangular or oval shapes and often wrapped in nori (seaweed). It’s a delicious and healthy alternative to sandwiches or pastries when you’re on the go. No matter if you’re vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or meat lover, there is an option to satisfy your hunger.

Try the Ratatouille and sheep cheese Onigiri, the Shiitake mushrooms and Hokkaido pumpkin, the salmon and spicy plum or wasabi, the chicken and sweet potato or the surprise Onigiri of the week. They’re all handmade, organic and come neatly wrapped to make it easy to carry and keep them fresh until you’re hungry.

They also sell Brazilian Fair-trade gourmet coffee, homemade Indian Masala Chai with milk or soymilk and a variety of organic lemonades, soft drinks and smoothies.

And if you’re not around Kreuzberg, maybe their new little shop on Friedrichstr.114/corner Oranienburger Str. is on your way.
