Sarah Curth (1989)
About me
Berlin is the city where I was born. But my parents and I left in November 1989, when the wall fell. So I only spent 9 months here before we moved, first to Düsseldorf, then Leipzig, and finally to a small town near Leipzig where I grew up.
In October 2007 I came back to my Berlin roots to study German literature and Cultural studies at Humboldt Universität.
After living in Weißensee and Lichtenberg, I found my place in a nice apartment in Friedrichshain, that’s why most of my favourite spots are situated there.
After more than 4 years in Berlin I can call myself a reasonably experienced citizen who is able to help stray tourists while at the same time I am always trying to absorb everything new. And that is Berlin: There is always something new. You never get bored, you never get tired of this city because it is impossible to see, do or know every spot in Berlin.
Why Berlin?
- Berlin is home, inspiration, art & lifestyle;
- It surprises you every day in another way;
- Berlin is not only one city; it’s a conglomerate of different villages with different people;
- You will never succeed in conquering the whole city;
- The smell of history, zeitgeist and future is everywhere.
