Michelberger Hotel is an attractively whimsical playground with big comfy sofas, mounds of random books and pul·chri·tu·di·nous lamps made out of magazines. The laid back atmosphere exudes a permanent invitation to sit back, relax and enjoy its colorful surroundings. The whole interior makes your inner child want to break loose to express itself and join the playful style of the hotel.
It’s a good-looking Berliner with an adventurous spirit that makes friends with almost anyone it meets. Within this ingenious little universe there are gigs every Friday and Saturday night, as well as surprise concerts and nifty parties – because any time is as good a time as any for a little merrymaking.
Take your pick, sofas in the Honolulu bar, a cushioned pool out in the courtyard or sit down for a meal in the restaurant. They have lovely fresh, colorful, organic food and homemade vegan options, salty and sweet. The breakfast buffet is a real treat.
It’s also home to the Fountain of Youth (coconut water straight from the palm tree) and Mikkelerberger pale ale, for those with a serious taste for beer. You don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to visit, just someone with a palate for places that are just that little bit different from the rest.
