Gaststätte (pub) W. Prassnik would be your standard Berlin corner-pub if it wouldn’t be sitting right on fancy Torstrasse with all the fashion flagship stores and special boutiques around the corner. But despite its hip location, the bar still feels very laid back and down to earth with its East-German 70ies interior and graffiti-covered toilets.
They only serve drinks and the occasional cold sausage and a few beer snacks. On tap there’s house brew “Prassnik” which is either served Hell (lager) or Dunkel (brown), and other guest beers like Krušovice or Berliner Kindl. They also serve a wide array of shots and this is a smoker’s bar. The only indication that Prassnik is not only serving the few blue-collar workers left in that area of Mitte is the amount of people checking in on Foursquare.
