Village Underground is a cool and creative urbanism project, started in London by designer Auro Foxcroft. A few years ago, he bought 6 subway cars for about Euro 200,=, put them on top of a room, and made office space out of them.
Very cool, and successful too! The offices Foxcroft rents out (for a bargain Euro 25,= a week) have been full ever since they started. Village Underground is now working on creating subway office spaces in Lisbon, Berlin and Toronto too.
