Good recently wrote about an article in the Wall Street journal about an online “microrental” marketplace which trades tiny spaces of unused private property they call “dead space”.
On the marketplace Nokisaki.com, you can rent unused private property near the entrances of apartment buildings or an unused part of a shop – for as little as Euro 12,= for a couple of hours.
It doesn’t surprise me the idea started in Tokyo, where every real estate prices and demand are so high. I think it’s a great business idea, which also takes care urban space is used more efficiently. I hope we’ll soon start seeing this in European cities too!

I guess thats mailnly used for advertising space which reminded me of the not so handy boxer who successfully sold advertising space on the soles of his boots.
Funny! Hadn’t heard of that before!
