Last week, we started a 2 month Interrail train trip to meet Spotters in 26 cities in Europe. The third city we visited (after Hamburg and Copenhagen): Stockholm!
It was about time to come back here, as Stockholm is the only city we had not re-visited since our 2008 roadtrip to 20 cities to start Spotted by Locals.
As in 2008, the weather in Stockholm was great again! We took a lot of time to relax at some of the local viewpoints our locals recommended. Like Monteliusvägen and Skinnarvitsberget.
Stockholm locals are as serious about coffee as we are, so of course we had to try all the “best coffee” in Stockholm our Spotters have recommended. They all have their favorites, but our personal favorite was Johan & Nyström concept store.
On this road trip, we decided to try a new “Spotters meeting” concept: meet up at a public place, and “Bring Your Own Drinks”. In Hamburg we met at Spotter Melanie’s home and in Copenhagen we had beers a sunny public park.
In Stockholm our Spotter Lars invited us to his office in Sødermalm. It’s easily the most beautiful office I’ve ever visited in my life! A 19th century mansion, with a watch tower on the top floor!
Unfortunately Miranda was not able to join us on Saturday, but we met up for coffee the next day at the very happening Vetekatten. It’s not spotted yet, so we hope she’ll write about it on Spotted by Locals Stockholm!
Our last (and actually also first – we mostly “dined” on super market snacks in this expensive city) dinner in the city was at the very cool Urban Deli – right in the middle of Stockholm’s “SoFo”.
