It’s tea time! What about steaming teapots and, of course, those delicious scones? Today we’re going to help you find some of the best tea rooms in Europe according to our locals! If one of these true city hotspots is located near your holiday address don’t hesitate to visit one of them!

The Orangery, London
We will kick this list off with a tearoom that is situated in the gardens of the Kensington Palace in London. The Orangery is known for its “authentic” feeling and therefore it would be an excellent location for enjoying a well-deserved “afternoon tea” that includes scones, clotted cream, jam, cakes and tarts!
Eteaket Tea Room, Edinburgh
Quite a spot from our Edinburgh local Fiona! Eteaket Tea Room offers a lot of different types of tea, which enables you to enjoy as many of them as you want! Fiona recommends the different flowering teas where the tea leaves are served in bundles that open and bloom as they infuse. In addition, “The mis-matched china cups and saucers add to the ambience; it’s a lovely mix of an old-fashioned tea house and a modern boutique”.
Bramante Tea Room, Rome
Time for a modern tea room! The Bramante Tea Room is situated in Rome and offers different kinds of tea, some delicious cheesecakes and outstanding brownies. According to our Roman spotter Tiziano: “Here you’ll find peace and quiet away from the busy city”.
Pepper Mint Tea Room, Brussels
The Pepper Mint Tea Room in Brussels serves typical food in combination with delicious tea. This specific tea room offers a 2 page list full of different flavors including their most expensive one, a (blue) tea which is collected by monkeys!
La Tetería de la Abuela, Madrid
This tearoom is situated in Malasaña (Madrid), which is known as an area full of cozy pubs and restaurants. La Tetería de la Abuela offers its tea in painted metal tea pots, which is colorful and gives you the chance to serve yourself. According to our local, Cat Bethune:“If you like a comfy seat, like I do, then go through to the back and hope that the sofa corner hasn’t been taken yet!”.
Maison Blunt, Zurich
Now it’s time for Switzerland! Maison Blunt, which is an exact copy of a Moroccan restaurant in Fez, offers different kinds of tea with intense flavors.
And the Dish Ran Away With the Spoon, Manchester
Now, certainly one of the best named tea rooms in the world: “And the Dish Ran Away With the Spoon“, which is situated in Manchester. This specific tearoom offers special cream tea, which is amazing. In addition, according to our local, Alice Blukacz: “The cherry bakewell was outstanding, and I recommend you give it a try, if you happen to be in West Didsbury with an empty stomach”.
Tchai Ovna, Glasgow
Tchai Ovna is a special one. This tea room, situated in Glasgow, offers a whole booklet full of different kinds of tea to choose from. According to our local, Gill Davies, you should definitely try out the so-called “Yogi Yogi Chai”, which is the best she’s ever tasted!
