Our 60th blog: Spotted by Locals Thessaloniki!

Since we started Spotted by Locals in 2008 applications for the 2nd biggest city of Greece started pouring in. Last year we had so many people on the waiting list, we just could not wait any longer to start up the project to create a Spotted by Locals Thessaloniki!

We are so happy we did. It’s turned out to be a beauty, written by the cream of the crop we selected from the waiting list: Giorgos Mavridis, Stavros Pagonidis, Martina Papaioannou and Theodora Ralli.

Some of our favorites:

• A (possibly) haunted house – one of Theodora’s favorite buildings
• Laikon – the best place to have a snack after a long night out, according to Giorgos
• Eightball – A place to bang your head to metal music! Spotted by Martina
• Navarinou – A square where you can’t see any sun, but because of the reflections it’s still one of the best places to watch the sun set (that’s something only a local knows…). Spotted by Stavros!

You won’t find these tips in your travel guide. And that’s exactly what Spotted by Locals is about!
