Many of our locals have written about their favorite breakfast spots in their city, that are especially good if you’re suffering from a hangover. Here’s a small selection of 10 great spots that serve special, almost doctor recommended dishes, to ensure you’re ready to start exploring again without the pounding of your feet on the pavement matching the pounding in your head.

1. The Counter Café – London

Claire says that she’s tried everything from bloody mary’s to paracetamol, but the Counter café brunch is the best hangover cure she has found thus far!

2. The Hyndland Cafe – Glasgow

If you decide to kill your hangover with some Scottish breakfast, The Hyndland Cafe delivers that (and your favorite newspaper) to your door from 10:30 – 14:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. You can still get drunk on Monday, but hey, in this case you have to go to the place for your hangover breakfast!

3. Mamma’s Burekas – Tel Aviv

“[…] greasy anti-hangover burekas or jachnun” – Jonathan Geffen.

Mamma’s burekas is Tel Aviv local Jonathan’s instant fix to refuel after a fun night out dancing, as they serve pretty decent burekas at great prices.

4.  Snax Cafe – Edinburgh

According to our local, the Snax in Edinburgh is the best hangover café! Prices are cheap and there are two locations. But if you’re STILL too lazy to head over, the lovely people at Snax do deliveries for £ 2! And then you can go back to bed!

“Snax, Edinburgh’s least refined, most generous hangover café, has you in its (slightly greasy) embrace.”

5. Zum Guten Glück – Zurich

At the Zum Guten Glück in Zurich, apart serving delicious pancakes and waffles, they also have a hangover killer dish called “Dicke Berta”…so you’d better go for that! As a bonus, they serve that any day of the week, so you don’t have to feel bad if you’re hungover on a school day.

6. Wicked Flavor – Munich

Stefan says : “[…] if you did party hard the day before, grab a philly cheese steak sandwich and the new Munich hangover killer, called “Konterbrause” and you will feel much better soon.”

7. Broodje Bert – Amsterdam

Our Amsterdam Spotter Gisela says that Broodje Bert is a great place for lunch, especially if you are suffering from a hangover. Kill your hangover with the sandwich called Broodje Bert! It takes a bit of work to get it down, but you will be very satisfied after, and hopefully have less of a headache…

8. Warburger – Warsaw

Warburger in Warsaw has its very own Hangover burger, the Kacburger and it comes with a special whiskey sauce. Will you let us know if it dulled the pain?

9. Kitsch’n – Chicago

This is where you’ll find Chicago locals curing their ailments with the Hangover brunch. Have a sip of their chipotle bloody marys paired with a greasy or a healthy meal. From green eggs ‘n ham, Sam or basil pesto omelet or comfort classics like fried chicken and waffles to one of Meghan’s favorites, the Kitsch’n Chilaquiles, whatever floats your boat!

If you went too far last night and though it was fun, you’re seriously regretting that last shot of … whatever it was, Marek reckons Cozy will make you feel better in no time. The locals love it here and they won’t mind you joining them for a locally prescribed grilled, homemade sandwich with brie and salami, French fries and aioli on the side.
