On Monday, KLM (more about that flight in a later post!) flew us to San Francisco – the first stop on a tour to 7 cities in North America.
Our main aim of course was to meet our lovely Spotters (see above, at the very cool Southern Pacific Brewery) and see visit as many Spotted by Locals spots as possible. We favorite all the spots we’re visiting in our app. Although we’re really doing our best we have quite a bit of “work” to do as you can see in below screenshot…
We focused on the coffee culture, and visited two of the coolest coffee shops in town – Blue Bottle Coffee (above) and Four Barrel Coffee. We already knew they were serious about coffee here in San Francisco. But boy, they’re really serious about coffee here!
We also had a few nice meetings with very interesting companies and people in the Internet / travel industry, including a lunch at Google HQ with the Field Trip team.
And our Spotter Kimberley Lovato invited us to the Weekday Wanderlust meeting at the Hotel Rex – where we met lots of interesting travel writers!
Back to work. Two more days to fill that map with orange hearts…
Disclaimer: we have agreed with KLM to pay for our flight to and from the US, in return for mentioning them in some of the articles we write about our trip. Read more about it here.
