Amsterdam Falafelshop – Boston’s flavor paradise

As a vegetarian, nothing irks me more than when restaurants attempt to pass off salads or sides to those who don’t eat meat. Growing up in India, my expectations for flavorful vegetarian food have been raised to the roof. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Amsterdam Falafelshop offering at least twenty-five all-vegetarian toppings for their falafels (and those don’t even include hot sauce or mayo!). The spice lover in me almost did a happy dance.

Choices range from hummus, tahini, beetroot salad, pickles, spiced onions, a flavorful chickpea salad, pickles, roasted spicy cauliflower and toppings of every color, texture, and taste that one can imagine! I usually opt for the falafel bowl, but their pita sandwiches are delicious too. Add their rosemary fries and you have a perfect quick lunch or to-go meal. I can never get enough and I’m confident that you won’t either.
