Samurai Sushi is another hidden gem that people tend to miss when walking down busy Boylston Street. A small restaurant tucked away in a basement unit across from the Prudential, Samurai has a surprisingly vast menu. Their (bright yellow!) sushi bar boasts a large array of Korean and Japanese entrées and appetizers, along with an equally lavish sushi selection and drink menu.
Although a bit pricey, Samurai is worth it. An added bonus is that their food selections are also quite vegetarian friendly. I love their vegetarian sushi plate, and their veggie gyoza and Agedashi Tofu are to die for.
If you’re a night owl, you’ll definitely be heading to Samurai for the drink selection. This place, open late, has a large cocktail menu featuring drinks with enticing names such as “The Void” and “Fire”. If you’re part of a group that’s visiting, you definitely will want to test out the Scorpion Bowl, a huge, sweet drink that will definitely please everyone in your party. Pair that with a Sashimi Boat and you’ll be set for the night!
