Another one of those typical places which are always pretty packed because the food they serve is very very good!!
The list of quiches is never-ending (and with a choice of vegetarian dishes) and they are always served with salad and bread. If you can’t decide which one to eat, just go by the counter and check them out. Just be careful, if you pass in front of the cakes fridge you will not be able to avoid ordering a big piece of one of them. The strawberry one it’s just fantastic. If you can’t live without them, you can also order them take away!
There’s a good choice of beers (Hoegaarden served with lemon slice, just the way I like it) and tasty freshly squeezed orange juice.
The staff is always rushing and sometimes a bit “hard” but they will always find you a place! Sit at the ground floor or the terrace: service is definitely better there!

I agree with Matthieu, the service is appalling, I used to go there and always was treated badly. Also, is not exclusively vegetarian and honestly there are much better places in Brussels where you can find really home made quiches and cakes for the same price.
I once thought this place was ‘nice’, but when you really examine what you get you know it’s not great. You only put up with it because its sort-of-cheap. There are 3 nicer spots to lunch just half a minute up the road. Delish, The Deli and Pompadora. The 1st two a very good value (5-10euro). Pompadora is in the 20euro bracket but worth it.
Dear Jimmy,
I am sorry you do not enjoy Arcadi as much as I do. I have been living here 9 years and keep going there for their good quiches and cakes. I do not understand why you say that “when you really examine what you get you know it’s not great”, could you please explain me why so that I can double check it again?
As for service, I have heard various times that it’s not very good, but I speak for my experience and I have always been treated very well.
Thanks for the tips of other 3 places. I only know The Deli and I cannot make any kind of comparison with Arcadi because the type of food served is very different, burgers/sandwiches vs quiches. To my taste, I prefer 100 times a quiche to a burger or a sandwich.
But we are all different…and I will be very happily going to try the 2 places you suggest.
Renata
Hi Renata. I simply think your use of ‘very very good!!’ is a very very exaggerated :-) I don’t want to be negative, or shy people away from going there, but i too have gone there many times until 1 day i realized there’s much better out there in the same price range. That’s all. Sorry, i hope I’m not sounding anti.
Mom – Stunningly beautiful poohts I’m sitting here at work smiling at my computer screen! Kristin & Evan We love you very much and can’t wait for your big fat Greek wedding! Andrea & Renata Your work is perfect; we’re so excited to see you again.
yea, GREAT value one of the cheapest good places i’ve found), even though service is consistently not great. beautiful rooms upstairs, too, if downstairs is crowded!
yes, but service isn’t fantastic, and place isn’t always very clean. in fact I think I’ll never go there again, to much disapointed last times (and prices a little bit to high for the quality)
Hi, I must say this place was fantastic for lunch, I did have something vegetarian with aubergine and it was great, but there is some meat on the menu if you must. The selection of cakes was mouth-watering too! Thanks for the tip!
