I would probably never have gone to her restaurant, although it's an "institution" in Brussels if one day I would not have found her washing her clothes in my assigned washing time (the apartment complex does not allow washing machines, so we all wash in the basement). I was slightly late from work and apparently there was a 15-minute rule and she took my place. However, she felt so bad about it that apart from apologising like crazy I also got some free coupon to eat at La Canardière. I went one night with a friend and indeed the place has a very special ambiance and the food is decent, though I don't eat much cooked food anymore.
