“Morocco has a very long coast, so do not expect to eat only couscous, but also a lot of fish…“
- Hey! What are you talking about? It’s the Brussels cityblog, remember ?
Indeed, but in Brussels, we do have a huge community of Moroccan people (including myself) and we do like to eat our local food. A few of those places are the 3 restaurants “L’Ocean”, “L’Océan – Grill” and “Le Requin Bleu”: all situated in the same street, near South Train Station.
Fresh fish that you choose yourself, customers and staff all talking Arabic : families, couples, friends, a lot of very good food on your plate and not a lot of money out of your pocket.
Don’t expect to eat tagine or couscous here: only fish with typical salad, fries and tasty bread.
L’Ocean | Restaurants (Fish) | Fresh fish from € 3.00
94, avenue de Stalingrad
Sun – Thu 11:00 – 01:00, Fri 15:30 – 01:00

A moroccan collegue of mine recommended this restaurant to me. He and his family went there very often. So I decided to check it out. They had great food, lots of moroccan people were there, so it had to be authentic, I thought. I certainly will go back there!!
