Opened few years ago, Mamma Roma is already one of the meeting points for quick and healthy food in town for any time of the day. The 3 shops are located near 3 of the main apero squares in town (Chatelain, Flagey, Jourdan) and they serve sliced pizza in 10 or more different flavors. You choose which one, you choose how much and there you are: your quick dinner is ready. It’s good, really, I’m Italian and I have some knowledge about pizza. It’s cheap too. The “lunch” (anytime) is 2 slices plus a drink, and it’s just 7 euros! Also for take away it’s same price. The only downside… it’s always crowded. I prefer the one in pl. Thanks for your comment. It is a pity you did not like this place as much as I do. My experiences are very different from yours. I frequently go to this place and I haven’t seen it dirty, ever. The staff sometimes is not that friendly, true, but I have never been treated badly nor given a bad answer. Regarding the boring pizza, how can we judge? I, as Italian, even judge the pizza too strange, too different from the way we do it in Italy, too ‘full’, but I still think it’s good…
I took your advice and went to Mamma Roma at Pl. Jourdan. Big mistake! Dirty restaurant, unfriendly staff and boring pizza. I can’t see why anyone would recommend it.

It seems Spotted/Brussels is just “churning over” lots of old articles to make the site look fresh. Mama Roma, Ultime Atom, etc., articles were originally posted over a year ago, and seem to just now have been re-posted to the top with April 2011 dates. Is there no new spotting going on for Brussels?
